About the Bison
• Bucknell earned three event wins and four second-place finishes at last year's outdoor championships, collecting 129.5 points in total. Just one gold medalist, Ashlyn Ramos, returns this season. All four second-place finishers are back in 2022.
• Ramos won the 10,000 in 2021, and she took second in the 5000 while running the second-fastest time in school history (16:23.75). Karly Forker took silver in the 1500, Abby Kates placed second in high jump, and Meghan Quinn placed second in the 100. 2021 graduates Alex Butz and Maura Fiamoncini earned gold medals in the high jump and javelin, respectively, and Fiamoncini was named Most Outstanding Field Athlete.
• Jennifer Scott (pole vault) Karen Hull (100 hurdles), Jessie Castellano (400), Michaela Bracken (400 hurdles) and Gianna Macones (long jump) all place in the top five at last year's championships as well.
• Quinn was Bucknell's lone champion during the 2022 indoor championships in winning the 100, as the Bison took fourth overall at the meet. She also currently ranks fourth in program history in the outdoor 100 and fifth in the outdoor 200.
• Bucknell has enjoyed a strong spring season to this point, posting 20 new all-time top 10 marks. Most recently, the distance medley relay team of Mackenzie Turner, Forker, Mikayla Horvath and Ramos set the school record at last weekend's Penn Relays with an 11:36.32.
• Bucknell's relay teams have impressed all season. The 4x100 team (Bridget Lalonde, Quinn, Macones, Hull) recorded the second-fastest time in program history earlier this spring, and multiple 4x400 relay teams have entered the top 10 list.
• Other new notable top 10 performances include Hull and Bracken, who both tied for second all-time in high jump (5-7), as well as Bracken's 1:00.98 in the 400 hurdles that ranks third all-time.
• Joining Scott at number five on the all-time top 10 list in pole vault is Karly Renn, who cleared 12-1.5 earlier in the season and posted the second-best height in the record book during the indoor championships.
