Feeney, Calisi Earn All-East in Hammer Throw on Day One of IC4A Championships

WILLIAMSBURG, Pa. – Sophomore Robert Feeney and junior John Calisi kicked off the 2022 Outdoor IC4A Track & Field Championships with strong finishes in the hammer throw on Friday, as both Bison earned All-East honors in Williamsburg, Va.
Feeney placed fifth with a mark of 184-0, and Calisi came in at seventh with a 171-10. They were the best IC4A finishes for both athletes in their careers. Feeney was just shy of his personal-best 185-4, which ranks eighth in program history.
"Robert and John ended their seasons on a very high note. They have been consistent all year, and for both to score at Patriot Leagues and IC4A is a big honor. Having both back next year is very exciting, and Coach Protzman did a great job with them," said head coach Kevin Donner.
Feeney and Calisi placed sixth and eighth, respectively, in the hammer throw at the Patriot League Championships last weekend. The Bison enter day two of the IC4A meet with six points.
Events resume at the IC4A meet at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
