Field Hockey Lands 22 Student-Athletes on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Bucknell field hockey landed 22 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced on Tuesday. It's the second season in a row the Bison have had 22 players make the list, and the team had the second-highest total among Patriot League field hockey programs. Lehigh led the way with 28, and American was third with 20.
12 Bison achieved a 3.5 grade-point average or higher during the fall academic semester, and senior goalkeeper Peyton Fischer led the team with a perfect 4.0. Senior Grace McEvoy, junior Clara McCormick, junior Noor Kaur, sophomore Sydney Panagos, sophomore Olivia Bush, first-year Mia Fields, first-year Nora Frederick and senior Erin Zielinski were all at a 3.8 or above.
Sophomore Rachel Apa, Kaur and Zielinski were all named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team in the fall in addition to making the honor roll. Additionally, seniors Emily Doyle and Zielinski both made their fourth appearances on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Bucknell as a whole recorded a league-high 149 student-athletes on the Fall Academic Honor Roll. Colgate (134) was second, and Lehigh came in at third (133).
To be eligible for the Fall Academic Honor Roll a student-athlete must earn a 3.20-grade point average (GPA) in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports. Those seven sports include men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.
