Bucknell Football Lands 41 on PL Academic Honor Roll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bucknell football team landed 41 student-athletes on the 2021 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

The Bison have now placed at least 40 student-athletes on this listing for six-straight years. Of their 41 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll members, 28 made the Bucknell Dean's List for earning a grade point average of at least 3.50.

Five Bison recorded perfect 4.0 GPAs: senior Tarrin Earle and sophomores Adam Barakat, Colby Grames, Ethan Pitzel and Harrison Shepherd. An additional four posted GPAs north of 3.80: senior Grayson Cherubino, junior Ben Allen and freshmen Clay Morris and Aneesh Vyas.

Five seniors were recognized all four years of their time in Lewisburg: Cherubino, Earle, Michael Killiri, Dominic Lyles and Jacob Russ. That group included all four of Bucknell's 2021 captains: Cherubino, Earle, Lyles and Russ.

Lyles and junior Brent Jackson, the Bison's 2021 Academic All-Patriot League selections, each made the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and the Bucknell Dean's List. Lyles also previously represented the Bison on the prestigious FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team.

The Bison were edged for the top spot in 2021 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll members by Lafayette, which had 42.

To qualify for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have achieved a minimum 3.20 GPA during the semester in which their team competed. A total of 239 football players were honored this season. The following are the Bucknell football team's 2021 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll members:
