Bison Women's Soccer Places 24 Student-Athletes on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Patriot League champion Bucknell women's soccer team placed 24 of its 29 student-athletes on the Fall 2021 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. That was tied for the second-highest total in the league, trailing only Loyola's 26.

Not only did the Bison win the Patriot League Tournament and advance to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in program history last fall, but the team combined for a stellar 3.54 grade-point average. Nineteen team members made the Dean's List with a GPA of 3.50 or better, and three Bison earned perfect 4.0s: Kelley Francis, Lea Tarzy, and Brooke Tracey.

Four of Bucknell's six seniors became four-time Honor Roll members, and the other two are now three-time honorees. Holly Burns, Alana Carlucci, Raegan Dunwoodie, and Emilene Parham all made the list for the fourth time, and Claire Mensi and Molly Mischler did so for the third time.

Other names of note on the Honor Roll are 2021 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year Rylee Donaldson and 2021 Patriot League Tournament MVP Theresa Deda. In fact, all five of Bucknell's All-Patriot League selections also made the Academic Honor Roll: Donaldson, Deda, Mensi, Abby Gearhart, and Jenna Hall.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have earned at least a 3.20 GPA during the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports. Bucknell recorded a total of 149 Honor Roll student-athletes from those seven sports, which was the most in the Patriot League.
