Collin Murphy Earns Spot on Academic All-Patriot League Men’s Soccer Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell junior Collin Murphy was named to the 11-man Academic All-Patriot League Men's Soccer Team on Monday. Murphy, who had a strong 2022 season as a wingback for the Bison, carries a 3.83 cumulative grade-point average as a biomedical engineering major.
Murphy was selected as a team co-captain prior to the season. He played in 15 games with 11 starts, missing three games in September due to injury. He handed out assists in Patriot League matches against Colgate and Holy Cross and was an important playmaker on the left side.
Off the pitch, Murphy is a Dean's List student in biomedical engineering. As an Undergraduate Research Fellow in the computational neuromodulation lab, he has been studying brain stimulation in Parkinson's Disease patients. Murphy has also served as a physics teaching assistant.
Candidates for the Academic All-Patriot League Team must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher and be a starter or key reserve on his team.
Albert Kang of Loyola was named the 2022 men's soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Also selected for the Academic All-League Team were American's Jack Green, Boston University's Quinn Matulis, Colgate's Max Edelstein, Lafayette's Marcus Kitromilides, Lehigh's Euan Forrest, Loyola's Matthew Lala, and Holy Cross's Jon Klein, Taj Salawu, and Marcus Williams.
