LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior Rylee Donaldson and sophomore Teresa Deda added to their postseason awards haul on Tuesday, as both were named to the 11-person Academic All-Patriot League Team. Donaldson and Deda are both First Team All-Patriot League selections and Dean's List students at Bucknell.
Donaldson carries a 3.71 cumulative grade-point average as a political science major with a minor in public policy. She was also named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team last season, and she is Bucknell's fifth two-time honoree since the award debuted in 2010.
Donaldson was also a repeat selection on the All-Patriot League First Team. One of the top offensive threats in the conference, she ranked among the league leaders with four goals and three assists during the regular season. After producing a league-high 10 goals on the way to Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2021, Donaldson now has 15 goals and five assists in her career.
Deda has compiled a 3.61 cumulative GPA as a biology major, and just last week she was named the Patriot League Midfielder of the Year. She is the first Bison ever to earn First Team All-Patriot League honors in each of her first two seasons, and she is also the first Bison to receive the Midfielder of the Year Award since it was created in 2016.
Deda has two goals, both coming in league wins over Holy Cross and Boston University, and a PL-high eight assists. She also led the league in assists last season with 12, and her 20 career assists already rank third in team history, even though she is still in the midst of her sophomore season. Lisa Gibbons (35) and Liz Woodrow (22) are the only other Bison with at least 20.
Loyola goalkeeper Paige Sim was selected as the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Also named to the Academic All-PL team were Army's Lauren Drysdale and Jasmine Talley, Boston University's Morgan Fagan, Lily Matthews, and Amy Thompson, Colgate's Emily Amano, Lehigh's Corinne Lyght, and Navy's Chloe Dawson.
Bucknell is the No. 2 seed in the Patriot League Tournament, and after earning a quarterfinal bye, the Bison will host No. 3 Boston University in the semifinal round on Thursday at 7 p.m. | BUY TICKETS
