Bucknell Men's Cross Country Set for Final Tune-Up on Friday at Home

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell University men's cross country team is set for its final preparation on its home course this Friday at 5:15 p.m.
- The Bison will host a combined race for the men and the women on Friday due to darkness.
- Bucknell returns to its home course for the first time since opening the season on Friday, September 2.
- The race on Friday will be a preview of the upcoming Patriot League Championships set for Saturday, October 29 in Lewisburg.
- The Bison return after a successful weekend at two different meets. Bucknell sent runners to both the Penn State National Open and the ECAC/IC4A Championships last weekend, placing tenth of 14 and 21st of 31, respectively.
- At Penn State, Samuel Whittaker once again led the way with an impressive 18th-place finish at the meet, a marked improvement from his 77th-place showing at the meet in his first season as a Bison.
- Bucknell had five other runners place in the top 100 at the highly-competitive meet, with Bobby Lynam (54th), Ben Santos (67th), Domenic Campagna (79th), Noah Martin (87th), and Grayson Crockett (91st) all competing.
- In New York at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, the Bison were led by Harry Marson, who placed a solid 135th at the meet. Also scoring for Bucknell at the meet was Henry Didden (143rd), Jeffrey Gibbs (161st), Christian Cadmus (166th), and Mason Siebenhaar (180th).
- Whittaker won in his last time out at the Bison Open, taking first place over runner-up Russell Sullivan of American by over 21 seconds. Bucknell also won the team title with 31 points, finishing ahead of Loyola (Md.), Lafayette, and American.
- After Friday's meet, the Bison will have just over a week to prepare for the Patriot League Championships, the first time Bucknell has hosted the meet since 2018.
