Abby Doss Selected as Bison Athlete of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Sophomore swimmer Abby Doss earned her first career Bison Athlete of the Week award.
Doss was recognized for her performance during the women's swimming & diving team's 199-101 victory at rival Lehigh, which sealed a 9-1 (7-1 PL) dual meet ledger. Thanks to this latest triumph, Bucknell's class of 2022 will graduate having gone an incredible 30-3 (23-3 PL) during dual meet competition.
Against the Mountain Hawks, Doss swept the breaststroke races and took first in the 200 IM. She also swam the second leg for the victorious 200 medley relay team. The Shamokin, Pa. native has now won 14 individual races during her first campaign as a Bison.
Doss is the second women's swimmer to be tabbed as the Bison Athlete of the Week this school year, joining Maddie Hartigan. Hartigan, a senior, captured this award for the fifth time in her decorated career after winning three individual races and setting two school records at the Bucknell Invitational.
Doss and the Bison return to the pool on Saturday, Jan. 29 at the Navy Invite. This meet, which begins at 12 p.m., is their final tune up before Feb. 16-19's Patriot League Championships.
