Bison Recognize Class of 2022
• Before Saturday's dual meet with Army West Point, the Bison will recognize their 17 members of the class of 2022.
• The women's team's seniors are Lindsey Bloom, Alexis Faria, Maddie Hartigan, Meagan Hathaway, Caroline Mayk, Isabella Smith and Meghan Taner.
• The men's team's seniors are Will Cadwallader, Nick Haddad, Derek Knight, Sam Miller, Liam Pitt, Sean Quinn, Jack Rose, Sam Sweeney, Jon Tze and Carter Weiland.
• The women's seniors have combined for 162 points at the two Patriot League Championships contested during their time in Lewisburg to date. The men's seniors have combined for 110 points.
• Hartigan is a two-time All-Patriot League First Team selection. She and Knight were also recognized on the 2021 Academic All-Patriot League Team.
• Hartigan is a five-time Patriot League individual medalist, capturing one gold in the 1,650 freestyle (2019), two silvers in the 500 freestyle (2020 & 2019), one silver in the 1,650 freestyle (2020) and one bronze in the 200 freestyle (2020).
Bucknell Women at a Glance
• The Bison posted a 3-0 (3-0 PL) record during the spring of 2021, stretching their winning streak in dual meets to eight.
• Dating back to the 2018-19 campaign, Bucknell has posted an incredible 27-3 (20-3 PL) record in dual meets; all three of the Bison's losses came to reigning Patriot League champion Navy.
• Bucknell wrapped up its 2019-20 dual meet schedule with a sterling 10-1 (7-1 PL) record. With their rivalry win over Lehigh, the Bison reached the double digits in victories during a single season for the sixth time in program history.
• Bucknell placed second at the 2020 Patriot League Championships with 533 points. The Bison, who finished as the Patriot League runners-up for the 12th time in program history and the first time since 2015, were bolstered by eight-medal winning performances.
• Bucknell returned three All-Patriot League honorees: Maddie Hartigan (1st in 2019 & 2020), Catherine Craig (2nd in 2020) and Sabrina Vumbacco (2nd in 2020). Vumbacco was also tabbed as the Rookie of the 2020 Patriot League Championship Meet.
• Hartigan, who was a 2021 Academic All-Patriot League honoree, is one the team's two school record holders. She owns the standards in the 100 freestyle (50.01), 200 freestyle (1:48.10), 500 freestyle (4:46.48) and 1,000 freestyle (9:53.16); she was also a member of the record-setting 200 freestyle (1:33.16) and 800 freestyle (7:18.40) relay teams.
• Abby Doss broke the school record in the 200 breaststroke (2:13.44) during mid-November's Bucknell Invitational.
• The Bison lost Maggie Wyngowski, a three-time All-Patriot League selection who captured three school records and five Patriot League medals, to graduation following the 2021 spring season.
• Bucknell added 12 student-athletes, including seven-time PIAA state champion Doss, to its program ahead of the 2021-22 campaign. The newcomers hail from seven different states and one Canadian province: Connecticut (3), New York (3), Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Ontario.
Bucknell Men at a Glance
• The Bison are currently 5-2 (4-1 PL) in 2021-22 following their 166-95 loss at Johns Hopkins on Jan. 8.
• Bucknell has started two of its past three seasons by going 5-1 in its first six dual meets.
• The Bison finished 1-2 (1-2 PL) during the spring of 2021.
• Bucknell wrapped up its 2019-20 dual meet season with a 5-6 (4-4 PL) record.
• The Bison's 5-2 start was their best since the 2013-14 campaign. That season, they went 5-1 (4-0 PL) in their first six duals en route to a 7-3 (5-1 PL) record.
• Bucknell placed fourth at the 2020 Patriot League Championships with 342.5 points.
• The Bison returned three swimmers who swam on record-setting relay teams: Leo Kuyl (400 freestyle), Liam Pitt (200 medley, 200 freestyle) and Jack Rose (200 medley, 400 freestyle).
• Bucknell returned one Academic All-Patriot League honoree in Derek Knight.
• The Bison's seven newcomers hail from four different states: New York (3), New Jersey (2), North Carolina and Virginia.
Loyola Women at a Glance
• Loyola is currently 3-1 (3-1 PL) with dual meet victories over American, Colgate and Lafayette. The team most recently won the H2OHounds Invitational, which was held Dec. 3-5.
• At the most recent Patriot League Championships, held in 2020, the Greyhounds finished sixth with 302 points.
• Bucknell leads the all-time series with Loyola, 4-0. The teams first squared off in 2017.
• During the abbreviated 2020-21 campaign, the Bison topped the Greyhounds, 188-112, behind 11 individual victories. The Bison also won the Patriot League Challenge Meet between them, Loyola and American.

• Loyola is currently 4-0 (4-0 PL) with dual meet victories over American, Colgate, Lafayette and Lehigh. The team most recently won the H2OHounds Invitational, which was held Dec. 3-5.
• At the most recent Patriot League Championships, held in 2020, the Greyhounds placed third with 391 points. It was their best finish at a conference meet since joining the Patriot League ahead of the 2013-14 campaign.
• Loyola leads the all-time series with Bucknell, 3-1. The teams met for the first time in 2017.
• During the abbreviated 2020-21 campaign, the Greyhounds defeated the Bison, 203-97. They also took first at the Patriot League Challenge Meet between them, Bucknell and American.
Army West Point Women at a Glance
• Army West Point is currently 3-5 (0-1 PL), most recently falling to rival Navy, 230-70, on Dec. 9.
• At the most recent Patriot League Championships, held in 2020, the Black Knights finished fourth with 471 points.
• The Bison lead the all-time series with the Black Knights, 20-8, bolstered by a 14-meet winning streak between 2002 and 2015.
• During the abbreviated 2020-21 campaign, Bucknell edged Army West Point, 158-139. Kate Gottwald swept the diving events while Sabrina Vumbacco and Maggie Wyngowski each won two swimming races.
Army West Point Men at a Glance
• The Black Knights are currently 3-3 (0-1 PL), most recently falling to rival Navy, 158-142, on Dec. 9.
• At the most recent Patriot League Championships, held in 2020, Army West Point was the runner-up with 721 points. The Black Knights have finished second to Navy at the past eight Patriot League Championships.
• Army West Point leads the all-time series with Bucknell, 30-5, and is currently riding a nine-meet winning streak.
• During the abbreviated 2020-21 campaign, the Black Knights topped the Bison, 184-100.
• The Bison face off against rival Lehigh on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m. in Bethlehem, Pa.
