Sahana Paravantavida Named Patriot League Women’s Golfer of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell junior Sahana Paravantavida has been named the Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week after a strong finish at the season-opening Nittany Lion Invitational this past weekend.
Paravantavida shook off a first-round 80 and came back to shoot 76-77 over the final two rounds to give her low Bison honors for the week. Paravantavida tallied seven birdies in those final 36 holes, including four on the way to that 4-over-par 76 in round two. It was two stokes shy of her personal best, and just one off her career low round in relation to par.
Paravantavida, who was born in Aruba and attended high school in Dubai, ranked second on the team with a 78.5 average in the fall of her freshman year in 2019. This is her first career Patriot League honor.
The Bison are back in action on Monday and Tuesday at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational, hosted by Youngstown State at Mill Creek GC.
