LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell rowing team not only had a successful 2021 spring semester on the water with a runner-up finish at the Patriot League Championships, but the Bison also got it done in the classroom with 43 student-athletes named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
To qualify for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have achieved a minimum 3.20 grade-point average during the semester in which their team competed.
The Bison rowers combined for a stellar 3.48 team GPA, and 10 members of the squad earned perfect 4.0 GPAs this spring: Caroline Brandt, Caitlin Cobb, Ally Demas, Juliette Gaggini, Emma James, Caroline Lopez, Kiera Mastropietro, Kate Meerscheidt, Dehlia Rotchford and Olivia Zavrel. Brandt, Meerscheidt and Zavrel were all named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team earlier in the spring, and the Bison also placed 10 rowers on the CRCA Scholar-Athlete list last month.
Among all Patriot League sports, Bucknell led the league with 524 student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll. The next-highest total was 401 by Boston University and Lafayette. The following are the Bucknell rowing team's 2021 Spring Patriot League Academic Honor Roll members.
