BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bucknell field hockey team placed a league-high 22 student-athletes on the 2021 Spring Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league announced Monday. The Bison field hockey program has led the league in academic honor roll members in four of the last five years, including each of the last three.
To qualify for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have achieved a minimum 3.20 GPA during the semester in which their team competed. The 2020-21 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll ranks second in League history with 3,736 honorees. Bucknell led all schools with 524 student-athletes on the academic honor roll.
The field hockey program achieved a combined 3.55 GPA during the spring semester, and 19 members of the roster posted GPAs of 3.5 or higher. Seniors Kaelyn Long and Leah Fogelsanger, sophomore Clara McCormick and rookie Olivia Bush all earned 4.0 GPAs. Long and McCormick were named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team following the spring season. Additionally, Long and fellow senior Megan Keeney made their fourth appearances on the academic honor roll.
