SHAMOKIN DAM, Pa. -- The Bucknell rowing team fared well in a home scrimmage against Lehigh on Saturday afternoon.
The scrimmage was 4x4' in the format of two sets of 2x4'. The first four-minute piece of each set simulated the first 1,000 meters of a 2,000-meter race, and the second four-minute piece of each set simulated the second 1,000 meters of a 2,000-meter race.
Six boats were lined up across. Bucknell's Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight finished ahead of Lehigh's V8 and 2V8 in all four pieces. The Bison 3V8 was neck and neck with Lehigh's 2V8 all on four pieces, and the 4V8 had competitive races with everyone.
Next Saturday, the Bison will compete against Colgate at home at 4 p.m.
