Men's Swim & Dive Remains Second at Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Andy Dorsel and the 800 freestyle relay team swam to first-place finishes during the Bucknell Invitational's second day, which wrapped up on Saturday night at Kinney Natatorium.
Dorsel won the 400 IM while John Gehrig, Christian Stef, Chris Fabian and Chris Kopac teamed to touch the wall first. Their efforts helped the Bucknell men's swimming & diving team remain in second place with 834 points behind Towson (958).
Gehrig swam a time of 1:39.00 to lead off the victorious 800 freestyle relay team, earning him the ninth spot in school history.
Kopac claimed third in the 200 freestyle while Fabian (100 butterfly) and Stef (200 freestyle) each took seventh in their respective races. A total of seven Bison qualified for the 'A' finals in individual events, with three relay teams also finishing in the top eight.
The Bucknell Invitational concludes tomorrow, with preliminaries beginning at 10 a.m.
