LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell women's basketball senior Tessa Brugler was named the Mid-Penn Energy/Mid-Penn Engineering Bison Athlete of the Week on Monday following a pair of strong and consistent performances during a 2-0 weekend for the Bison.

The senior captain earned her second double-double of the season and fifth of her career in Saturday's 80-51 win in Easton, Pa. Brugler was 4-of-8 shooting with 13 points, 10 rebounds and a block, while also converting 5-of-5 free throw attempts.
She poured in another 13 points and dished out four assists with three rebounds in Sunday's 79-45 victory. Brugler also hit a rare 3-pointer on Sunday, making it the fourth of her career. All told, Brugler ended her weekend 11-for-13 from the foul line.
Through four games, Brugler is second on the Bison roster with 52 points and leads the team in rebounds with 32.
