14 From Women's Water Polo Earn ACWPC All-Academic Honors

BRIDGEPORT, Pa.—14 members of the Bucknell University women's water polo team earned All-Academic Awards from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC), the organization announced.
Bucknell has had ten or more selections in four of the past five seasons, and also earned the ACWPC All-Academic Team Award for achieving a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00. Bucknell posted a 3.42 team GPA for the 2020 spring semester.
ACWPC Honorable Mention All-American Ally Furano headlined Bucknell's 14 selections after earning Superior accolades.
Seniors Hayley Pogue and Gigi Rojahn both earned Outstanding accolades, with Pogue now earning the honor each of her four seasons in the Orange and Blue, and Rojahn claiming Oustanding honors each of the past two seasons. Freshman Bella Moynihan also joined Pogue and Rojahn as Bison who earned the Outstanding distinction.
Joining A. Furano, Pogue, and Rojahn as repeat selections were Georgia Lewis (Superior), Marcela Herrera (Superior), and Paige Furano (Superior)
Nominations were made by head coaches with student-athletes recognized on three levels based on their GPA: Outstanding (3.71 to 4.0), Superior (3.41 to 3.70) and Excellent (3.20 to 3.40).
