Men's Basketball Places Nine on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Nine members of the 2019-20 Bucknell men's basketball team earned spots on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll on Monday. Despite the challenges surrounding the shift to remote learning due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the squad still combined for a 3.24 team grade-point average during the 2020 spring semester.
In order to earn a spot on the Honor Roll, a student-athlete must achieve a minimum 3.20 GPA during the semester of his/her sport's championship season. Rising juniors Walter Ellis and Andrew Funk led the way with 3.89 GPAs, and John Meeks and Xander Rice joined Ellis and Funk on the Dean's List with marks above 3.50. Funk was a member of the five-man Academic All-Patriot League Team at season's end.
