Bucknell Men's Tennis Earns ITA Atlantic Region Community Service Award

LEWISBURG, Pa. - It was announced Monday that the Bucknell men's tennis team has earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Atlantic Region Team Community Service Award. Bucknell logged 482 service hours during the 2019-20 academic year and is one of 12 Division I programs to be recognized by the ITA for its efforts.
The team's service hours included a wide variety of projects such as volunteer work at senior living communities, elementary schools and gardens. The Bison also spent time cleaning up railroad tracks and roadways and helped out at several food donation organizations.
"We're honored to be receiving this award, and I'm extremely proud of the effort these men put into helping their community," said head coach Bruce Myers.
During the fall season, the men's tennis team also received the Limoneira Hours Challenge Award for completing the most hours of any participating Division I program during the month of October for ITA Community Service Month.
