RESULTS
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Casey Morrow fired a 1-over-par 73 on Monday to grab a share of the lead after the first of two rounds at the Lonnie Barton Invitational on the Hills Course at LPGA International. Bucknell compiled a 319 team score and is in fourth place out of 14 teams, just three shots out of second.
Fairleigh Dickinson ran out to the team lead at the halfway point thanks to a 301 opening tally. Bethune-Cookman is in second place at 316, with Saint Francis (Pa.) (318), Bucknell and Sacred Heart (321) close behind.
Morrow's 73 puts her in a tie with Fairfield's Madison Banas. The FDU tandem of Nicola Smith and Tomita Arejola shot 74 and 75, respectively, followed by four players with 76.
Meredith Langs is tied for 11th place after opening with a 79. Also for Bucknell, Tatum McKelvey shot 82, Erin Holmes 85 and Sahana Paravantavida 95. Sally Sohn, competing as an individual, shot 87.
The second and final round gets underway at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday with a shotgun start. The Bison will tee off on holes 1-4, grouped with FDU, Bethune-Cookman and Saint Francis (Pa.).
