Men's Swim & Dive Places Fifth at ECAC Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Bucknell men's swimming & diving team finished fifth at the ECAC Championships, which wrapped up Sunday at Navy's Lejeune Hall.
The Bison, who most notably had Matt McGoey win a silver medal in Friday's 200 IM, finished the three-day meet with 246 points. Navy (670), Columbia (409) and Marist (405) were the top three teams.
On Saturday, McGoey teamed with Nate Romanowski, Liam Pitt and Derek Knight for a fourth-place showing in the 400 freestyle relay. He also took seventh in the 100 freestyle.
Kevin Flynn also competed in the 'A' finals, taking eighth in the 200 backstroke. Pitt wrapped up a successful showing with a 10th-place effort in the 100 freestyle; Pitt, who missed the majority of the 2019-20 campaign to injury, previously took sixth in the 100 butterfly and seventh in the 50 freestyle.
The Bison wrapped up the 2019-20 season with a 5-6 (4-4 PL) record. They went on to place fourth at the Patriot League Championships, posting 342.5 points.
