Bucknell's Yorke and Talarico Earn PL Weekly Laurels

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Will Yorke and Travis Talarico captured Patriot League weekly laurels for their role in the Bucknell men's lacrosse team's season-opening win over Furman, the league office announced Monday.
Yorke was tabbed as the Offensive Player of the Week while Talarico took home Defensive Player of the Week honors. It is the first time either has earned a Patriot League weekly award.
Yorke keyed the Bison to a 10-1 halftime lead over the Paladins, netting all five of his goals during the first half. On the strength of that performance, he is currently tied for fourth nationally in goals.
On the defensive side of the ball, Talarico logged five ground balls and two caused turnovers; his five ground balls represented a new career-high total while his two caused turnovers matched his career-best figure.
Yorke, Talarico and the Bison next travel to Bryant for a 12 p.m. game on Sunday, Feb. 9.
