Women's Swim & Dive Fourth Through ECAC Championships' First Day

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Bucknell's Maggie Wyngowski and Alaina Schumann won medals at the ECAC Championships on Friday night at Navy's Lejeune Hall.
Through the ECAC Championships' opening day, the Bison women's swimming & diving team is fourth in the 25-team field with 95 points. Navy (217.5), Penn (141) and Marist (112) are the top three teams.
Wyngowski, who on Thursday made her third-straight All-Patriot League First Team after winning three medals at the Patriot League Championships, took second in the 500 freestyle. Notably, it was only the third time she swam that event during the 2019-20 campaign.
Schumann also made the ECAC podium, taking third in the 3-meter dive. The 200 freestyle relay team of Rachel Hazard, Emily Gorham, Emma Hadley and Maddie Hartigan narrowly missed capturing a medal, finishing fourth.
The Bison continue their time at the ECAC League Championships tomorrow. The preliminaries begin at 10 a.m. with the finals following at 6 p.m.
