Prelim Results Final Results

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Bucknell's Matt McGoey raced to a runner-up showing in the 200 IM at the ECAC Championships on Friday night at Navy's Lejeune Hall.

Through the ECAC Championships' opening day, the Bison men's swimming & diving team is fifth in the 23-team field with 88 points. Navy (194), Yale (127) and Columbia (123) are the top three teams.

McGoey also teamed with Leo Kuyl, Liam Pitt and Derek Knight for a fourth-place effort in the 200 freestyle relay; the quartet's time of 1:22.51 slotted it in a tie for 10th in school history.

In his return from an injury that cost him the majority of the 2019-20 campaign, Pitt took seventh in the 50 freestyle.

The Bison continue their time at the ECAC League Championships tomorrow. The preliminaries begin at 10 a.m. with the finals following at 6 p.m.

Second Place:
200 IM - Matt McGoey (1:49.47)

Fourth Place:
200 freestyle relay – Matt McGoey, Leo Kuyl, Liam Pitt, Derek Knight (1:22.51) – t-10th in school history

Seventh Place:
50 freestyle – Liam Pitt (20.76)

Eighth Place:
50 freestyle – Leo Kuyl (20.91)

Ninth Place:
400 medley relay – Sam Miller, Matt McGoey, Nate Romanowski, Derek Knight (3:25.84)
