Bucknell Football Adds Four to Incoming Freshman Class

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Head coach Dave Cecchini announced the addition of four players to the Bucknell football team's incoming freshman class as part of NCAA football's traditional signing period.
The Bison's incoming freshman class is now 24 players strong. As part of NCAA football's Early Signing Period, they inked 10 players to National Letters of Intent in December; they then added 10 to the class on the first day of the traditional signing period in early February.
Overall, the class boasts five offensive linemen, three wide receivers, three defensive linemen, three defensive backs, two quarterbacks, two running backs, two tight ends and one each at linebacker, hybrid linebacker/defensive back, punter/kicker and long snapper.
Pennsylvania (4), Illinois (3), New Jersey (3), Ohio (3), Florida (2), California (2), North Carolina (2), Arizona, Kansas, New York, Tennessee and Virginia are the 12 states represented to date. Cecchini and the Bucknell football staff will continue to add to the class of 2024 during the traditional signing period, which ends April 1.
Tyler Alston
LB, 6-2, 225, Downingtown, Pa., Archbishop Carroll
Archbishop John Carroll High School: Lettered three times in football … played on both sides of the ball as a linebacker and fullback … served as team captain.
Personal: Tyler Keyon Alston … born January 12, 2002 in Paoli, Pennsylvania … son of Chris and Tricia Alston … has two younger siblings: Jada and Amyah … father and mother both were varsity athletes at Penn State University … father played football while mother was on the tennis team.
Coach Cecchini's Scouting Report: "Tyler is your prototypical middle linebacker. He has excellent size, and he plays the game with great intensity."
Aidan Davenport
LS, 6-3, 200, Chatham, N.J., Chatham High School
Chatham High School: Three-year football letterwinner … received a 4.5-star rating from Rubio Long Snapping … ranked 87th of 326 in the class of 2020 by Rubio Long Snapping … also lettered twice in lacrosse, helping the Cougars win a 2019 NJSIAA Group 3 North title.
Personal: Aidan Sheehan Davenport … born August 30, 2002 in Morristown, New Jersey … son of Donald and Stephanie Davenport … has two younger siblings: Sophie and Jack … uncle Peter Sheehan competed for the University of Virginia's track & field team … aunt Heather (Christman) Sheehan played lacrosse and field hockey at the University of Virginia, helping the Cavaliers win the 1991 NCAA women's lacrosse title … uncle Mike Kent played football at Harvard University … aunt Susan (Davenport) Kent swam at Harvard University … cousin Mackenzie Sheehan is a member of the Wesleyan University lacrosse team's class of 2023.

TE, 6-3, 225, Redlands, Calif., Citrus Valley
Citrus Valley High School: Lettered three times in football … All-California Interscholastic Federation pick … three-time all-league honoree … totaled 758 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns … as a senior, helped the Blackhawks go 10-2 and reach the second round of the playoffs … also lettered three times in golf, earning three all-league nods.
Personal: Colby Scott Grames … born October 8, 2001 in Redlands, California … son of Barry and Jami Grames … has two younger siblings: Sydney and Rylie … avid skier.
Coach Cecchini's Scouting Report: "Colby is a very polished tight end. He has the ability to be a physical blocker at the point of attack and a dangerous threat in our passing attack."
Quentin Lemon
DB, 6-1, 200, West Orange, N.J, Saint Peter's Prep
Saint Peter's Preparatory School: Three-year football letterwinner … helped the Marauders win tri-state, state, county and conference titles … as a senior, totaled 50 tackles and blocked the would-be game-winning field goal in the NJSIAA Non-Public Group 4 state championship game … in 2019, Saint Peter's Prep went 11-1 and was tabbed 19th in the final USA Today High School Football Rankings … served as defensive captain.
Personal: Quentin Mychal Lemon … son of Michael and Kim Lemon … born October 11, 2001 in Livingston, New Jersey … has an older sister: Kiara … father played basketball at the New York Institute of Technology.
