LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Â Â The Bucknell University men's track and field team wrapped up its final meet before the Patriot League Championships at the Bucknell Tune-Up on Friday evening at Gerhard Fieldhouse.Â
Results
"We got what we needed out of this meet," said Head Coach Kevin Donner. Although we rested quite a few athletes, a lot of others got some valuable experience. A few others even put themselves in the conversation for a league roster spot. Now we just have to taper a little, and rest up so that we can be as healthy as possible. Both teams have had a lot of injuries and sickness throughout the winter, but hopefully the worst is behind us, and we can focus on next week's championship."
Nicholas Marino won the pole vault (16-0.75), while David Kelly (15-1), was second overall. Â Franco Perinotti (14-7.25) was tied for third.Â
C.J. Falcioni (53-2.25) was first in the shot put, followed by Zach Ruiz in second place (52-2.5) as both were just off the mark of their personal-bests set this season that rank in the Bucknell top ten. Hayden Lindsey was fourth (48-11). Falcioni also had a solid meet in the weight throw in winning that event (60-7.25), which is a new personal-best for the senior that ranks sixth on Bucknell's all-time list.Â
In the long jump, Micah Sims was second overall (21-2.5), while Tyler Wukitsevits was fourth overall (20-9). Jaden Rouse (43-7.25) was second in the triple jump.Â
