Women's Swim & Dive's Hartigan Captures PL Weekly Laurels

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Bucknell's Maddie Hartigan was named the Patriot League Female Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.Â
Hartigan was recognized for her role in the Bison's 163.5-136.5 victory over Boston College, which improved their dual meet record to 9-1. The sophomore won the 100, 200 and 500 freestyle races; in addition, she anchored the first-place 400 freestyle relay team. Her time of 51.20 in the 100 freestyle was good for seventh in school history.
Hartigan was previously honored as the Patriot League Female Swimmer of the Week on Dec. 10 for her performance at the Bucknell Invitational. There, she won three gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal.
Hartigan and the Bison return to action on Saturday at 1 p.m. by facing off against Lehigh in their dual meet finale.
