About the Bison
- Bucknell is off to another fast start, going 6-1 through its first seven games, moving up one spot to No. 13 in the latest CWPA poll.
- The Bison have had a recent trend of fast starts to seasons, as Bucknell started 8-1 last year, and 11-1 in 2016.
- In Saturday's game against UC San Diego, senior Rade Joksimovic added another milestone to his growing list of accomplishments.
- The senior from Novi Sad, Serbia became the all-time steals leader at Bucknell against the Tritons, breaking the 14-year record previously held by Jay Danforth (253, 2001-04)
- Joksimovic is now up to 256 career steals, and has moved up the Bison record books in several other categories. He ranks second in all-time goals with 419, and is now up to seventh on the all-time assists list with 155 career helpers. Joksimovic also needs 18 more ejections drawn to move into the top ten.
- Logan Schofield moved into the top three in Bucknell history in ejections drawn, and now has 211 to his name. The senior broke the single-season record for ejections drawn last season with 235, and is 101 away from reaching the record set by Jack Else from 2010-13.
- Bucknell is outscoring its opponents 65-44 this season, with the biggest difference coming in the fourth quarter. Bucknell has outscored its opponents 25-14 in the final frame this season.
- Jack Otto has accumulated two games with 14 saves or more this season, most recently against No. 19 Brown in Bucknell's second win over the Bears in as many weekends.
- Bucknell has now defeated five opponents either ranked or receiving votes this season.
- Cooper Dolan passed 100 career goals over the weekend, topped off with a solid two goal and three assist performance in the win over Brown.
- Logan Schofield needs just seven goals to reach 100 for his career.
- Andu Vlasceanu continued his strong freshman season at the Princeton Invite, and is up to 19 goals and nine assists in 2018, both second on the team behind Joksimovic.
- Bucknell is 47-3 all time against the Rams, including winning all three matchups last season.
- Two of those games were decided by two goals or less, including a 9-7 win at home on Sept. 16, and a 12-11 win in the MAWPC semifinal at Fordham's home pool. The Bison jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the latter, but Fordham pulled within one goal with ten seconds left in the defeat.
- Dolan tallied a season-high five assists in the win, while Jack Otto made eight saves. Matt Blackwell also scored twice in the win.
- Bucknell is 15-1 all time against the Lakers, with Bucknell taking both matchups in the last meetings between the two teams in 2017.
- The two teams last met in the first round the MAWPC Tournament in 2017, a 15-4 Bison win. Joksimovic scored nine goals, the sixth-most in a single game in Bucknell history. Joksimovic owns the single-game record for goals with 14 against Connecticut College on Nov. 18, 2016.
- Kyle Poland also managed two steals in that game.
- Bucknell is 6-1 all time against Wagner, including two wins in 2018. In the last matchup on Oct. 13, 2018 at the Harvard Invite, Bucknell took a close one, 10-8 against the then-20th ranked Seahawks.
