Dax Seidlin Earns Singles Title for Women's Tennis at Navy Invite

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Freshman Dax Seidlin won her second collegiate tournament title on Sunday, placing first in the B singles bracket of the Bill & Sandra Moore Invitational.Â
Seidlin capped an impressive weekend with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Amelia Haley of St. Bonaventure. Seidlin had reached the championship after defeating Navy's Katreina Corpuz 6-3, 6-4 in the semifinals yesterday. She also won the B bracket at last weekend's Bucknell Invitational.
On top of her singles success, the freshman took part in the A doubles title match playing alongside junior Cayla Koch, but the pair was defeated by Navy's top tandem 6-4.
Also competing today was junior Rachel Carroll. Carroll won the consolation final of D singles with an 8-2 victory over Leigh Friedman from Lehigh. Meanwhile, Sofia Ayuso placed third in D singles after defeating St. Bonaventure's Buse Gunay 8-4 in a super tiebreaker.
Bucknell will be back in Lewisburg next weekend to host the Bucknell Invite. The Invite will take place from September 20-22.
