LEWISBURG, Pa. -- After debuting with two strong performances last week, Bucknell freshman Kaylee Donnelly has received the first Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week award in the 2019 season.Â
Donnelly picked up her first collegiate win with a pair of saves in a 2-1 overtime victory over Robert Morris in the season opener on Thursday, and then she piled up 12 saves, including a handful of high-difficulty point-blank saves in a 1-0 double overtime loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday afternoon.Â
Facing an Atlantic Coast Conference team for the first time, Donnelly was responsible for extending the game all the way into a second overtime period. She made a 1v1 stop on Anna Bout in the 86th minute, and then her best stop of the day came on Margret Arnadottir in the first overtime session. Arnadottir took a centering feed and found herself all alone in the middle of the box, but Donnelly came up with a great kick save to keep the Bison alive.Â
All told, Donnelly made 14 saves in her first two games and now has a 0.92 goals-against average and .875 save percentage.Â
Also recognized this week was senior Gabby Bair, who was an Honorable Mention Player of the Week. Bair scored the overtime game-winner against Robert Morris.Â
Bucknell concludes its three-game, season-opening homestand on Thursday at 5 p.m. against Wright State.Â

Kaylee Donnelly with her 10th save of the day, and probably her best. That keeps us 0-0 in the final stages of regulation. pic.twitter.com/u3opP7espu
