Tanabe Leads Bison Contingent at RTJ Shootout

FIRST-ROUND RESULTS

HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Four members of the Bucknell men's golf team are competing this weekend at the Robert Trent Jones Individual Shootout, hosted by Colgate at Seven Oaks Golf Club. Sophomore Chris Tanabe led the Bison group with a 1-under-par 71 on Saturday, and he sits in a tie for third place in a 38-player field at the halfway mark of the tournament.

Tanabe was one of five players in the field to break par on Saturday. Dean Naime of Colgate leads the way with a 3-under 69. Joe Egan of Holy Cross followed with a 70, and then Tanabe, Army's Thomas Katsenes, and Colgate's Alejandro Soto are all T-3rd at 71. Three others are even par.

Also for Bucknell, freshman Carter Cook shot 75, senior Connor O'Brien shot 79 in his spring debut coming off an injury, and senior Ashton Radvansky carded an 82.

The second and final round is slated for Sunday morning at Seven Oaks, which will be the site of the Patriot League Championship next weekend.
