Men's Tennis Concludes Texas Trip with 4-3 Win Over Prairie View A&M

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Ethan Jacobs, Andrei Vitiuc, and Ryan Jurist all won in singles as the Bucknell men's tennis team beat Prairie View A&M on Tuesday at the PVAMU Tennis Courts.
The Bison improved to 5-9 on the season and 1-2 during their trip to Texas. The trip was scheduled to conclude with a match at Nicholls State on Wednesday, but that has been canceled due to rain in the forecast.
Bucknell took a quick 1-0 lead against Prairie View after rolling through the three doubles matches. Max McDonald and Marwan Abaza had the closest match with a 6-4 score on court one. Alex Pedrazzini and Vitiuc were 6-1 winners on court two, while Cooper Bradshaw and Jacobs posted a 6-2 score on court three.
Jacobs, Vitiuc, and Jurist each won their singles matches in straight sets, with Jacobs recording 6-2, 6-3 scores on court one. Vitiuc and Jurist each prevailed with 7-6, 6-0 scores on courts four and five, respectively.
Bucknell improved to 5-9 on the season, while Prairie View A&M dropped to 2-19.
The Bison will play their first league matches of the season when they take on Army West Point and Holy Cross in West Point, New York, on Friday, March 22.
