LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell's Ryan Jurist was named the Patriot League Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday after going 3-0 in singles during the Bison's three-match road trip to New York this past weekend.
Due to injuries, Jurist bumped up one spot to No. 4 in the lineup for Friday's match against Hofstra and came through with a 1-6, 6-4, 10-4 win over Julien Wolfe. The freshman followed that with straight-sets wins on court five in matches against Marist and Siena on Saturday and Sunday.
Jurist added one doubles win on the weekend. He teamed with sophomore Drew Krantz for a 6-4 victory on court three against Siena.
The Bison have this weekend off from competition before returning to action with a match against La Salle at the Hershey Racquet Club on Friday, Feb. 15.
