LEWISBURG, Pa. – Sophomore forward Patrick O'Hara has been selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Two Team, CoSIDA announced on Thursday afternoon.
O'Hara becomes the first All-District selection for the Bison since 2015, in which Sebastiaan Blickman, Jesse Klug, and Chris Thorsheim each earned the honor. O'Hara is the 29th Bucknell selection to the Academic All-District Team since 1994, and is the only Patriot League representative in the 2019 squad.
A sophomore biology major, O'Hara boasts a 4.0 grade point average. The native of South Hero, Vt. is one of four players on the squad with a perfect GPA, joining Haukur Hilmarsson of George Washington, Jonas Westmeyer of Marshall, and Rikard Lindqvist of Northern Kentucky.
On the field, O'Hara has played a major role in the Bison returning to the Patriot League Tournament after missing out last season. O'Hara has netted five goals, with four of those goals against Patriot League opposition. Bucknell is 3-0-2 in games that O'Hara has found the back of the net this season.
After recording just one shot while appearing in six games his freshman season, O'Hara has scored five of his eight shots on goal while chipping in two assists to cap a strong sophomore campaign.
The Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Academic All-America Team ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in December. Klug (14', 15') was the last Bison to earn All-American honors.
