No. 15 Men's Water Polo Completes 2-0 Weekend After 15-7 Win Over Johns Hopkins

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The No. 15 Bucknell University men's water polo team defeated Johns Hopkins, 15-7, on Sunday afternoon thanks to a big day from senior Rade Joksimovic, who scored nine times and added eight steals in the win, both season-highs.
Bucknell improves to 17-7 this year, with an 8-1 mark in conference games.
Joksimovic opened the scoring for the Bison just a few minutes in, scoring his 100th goal of the season in the process on a long strike from the center of the pool. Jared Stanley then added Bucknell's second just a few minutes later on a pass from Andu Vlasceanu as Bucknell took a 2-1 lead after one period.
Joksimovic then converted a penalty shot, one of three on the day, to open the second period on an ejection drawn by Logan Schofield. Johns Hopkins pulled within one, 3-2, on a goal by Finn Banks, but Bucknell scored four straight goals, two of those by Joksimovic, to end the period and lead, 7-2.
Bucknell kept its foot on the gas in the third period. Joksimovic forced a steal and took the ball the length of the pool before squaring the ball unselfishly to Schofield, who put the ball home to give Bucknell an 8-2 lead.
After the goal from Schofield, Joksimovic scored four straight goals to help Bucknell take a 12-4 lead at the end of the third, and eventually grab a 15-7 win.
Joksimovic led the way with ten points on nine goals and one assist, while Vlasceanu and Schofield also posted multiple goals. The Bison overall scored 15 of its 25 total shots. Adrien Touzot and Jack Otto split time in the cage, combining for 13 saves.
Bucknell will remain home for two games against Navy and George Washington on Sunday, Nov. 10.
