About the Bison
- Bucknell went 2-2 at the Harvard Invite this past weekend, defeating MIT and Wagner before dropping games against No. 20 St. Francis (Brooklyn) and No. 9 Harvard by a combined three goals.
- Three of Bucknell's four defeats have come against ranked opponents, while Fordham, unranked when the two teams played on Sept. 21, has also climbed into the rankings in recent weeks thanks to a 16-5 start to the season. - Bucknell will face three more ranked opponents in Loyola Marymount, California Baptist, and San Jose State in this year's edition of the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament in games hosted on campus by San Jose State and Santa Clara.
- The trip will be somewhat of a homecoming for several Bison players. Scott Little (Atherton) and Jared Stanley (Palo Alto) both hail from nearby cities in the Bay Area.
- Bucknell last posted a winning record at the Julian Fraser Memorial in 2016, going 3-1 in games against Loyola Marymount, Fresno Pacific, and Air Force. Bucknell went 1-3 last season, dropping games to California Baptist, San Jose State, and Santa Clara before ending the Tournament on a positive note with a win over Air Force.
- After the win over MIT on Sunday, Head Coach John McBride has now reached the 14-win mark in each of his nine seasons at the helm of the Bucknell program, with the team at least three games above .500 in each of those seasons.
- Bucknell is also 6-1 in conference games so far in 2019 after the win over Wagner, improving to 36-3 in MAWPC matches since the 2016 season.
