Basketball FYIs: Tickets, Fan Buses, Receptions and More!

The Central Pennsylvania foliage is in full color, which must mean we're late in October, which in turn must mean that basketball season is right around the corner. The Bucknell men's and women's teams both open their 2019-20 seasons on the road on Tuesday, November 5, and then the home openers follow on Nov. 9 (women) and Nov. 10 (men) as part of an action-packed weekend on campus. There will be quite a bit of basketball-related activity between now and the start of the season, so here are some must-knows as we get ready for another exciting season of hoops at Sojka Pavilion.
Men's and women's basketball single-game tickets go on sale on Friday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. Tickets may be purchased ONLINE, in person at the Campus Box Office at the Weis Center, or over the phone at 570-577-1000. (MEN'S SCHEDULE | WOMEN'S SCHEDULE)

Fans are encouraged to take advantage of our special Orange Out Weekend ticket deal. The package includes the Nov. 9 football game vs. Lehigh (1 p.m.), the Nov. 9 women's basketball game vs. Monmouth (6 p.m.), and the Nov. 10 men's basketball game vs. Vermont (2 p.m.). Tickets to all three games would ordinarily total $33, but with the Orange Out package you can attend all three events for just $20 per person for adults and $15 for seniors and children. Online, in-person and phone orders are available.
Once again this season Weis Markets of Lewisburg is the place to go for your official Bucknell Orange Out t-shirt. Starting Nov. 1 and leading up to the Orange Out Weekend on Nov. 9, fans will receive one shirt for every $50 purchased in groceries (must purchase at least one Frito-Lay product) at Weis Markets in Lewisburg.Â
The Bison Club will be sponsoring fan buses to at least six men's basketball games in 2019-20. Buses depart on game day in front of the Kenneth Langone Athletics & Recreation Center and return following the game. Bus tickets alone are available for purchase, or fans can purchase a combo ticket to include the bus, game ticket and pregame reception access (if available). Buses are scheduled for the following games: Nov. 19 at Penn State; Nov. 23 at Syracuse; Dec. 28 vs. La Salle at The Palestra; Jan. 5 at Lafayette; Feb. 8 at Loyola; Feb. 23 at Lehigh. Also of note, Bison Nation Student Group members ride for FREE, and all other Bucknell students ride for half-price. A bus trip form can be downloaded HERE.Â
New in 2019-20, Backcourt Club members (donors to men's basketball at the $125 level or higher) will have access to a special halftime and postgame hospitality area for all home men's regular season games. The Sojka Pavilion Green Room will be open for a meal at halftime, and snacks postgame to all Backcourt Club members. Your Backcourt Club credential must be visible to gain access to the room. Click HERE if you are interested in joining the Backcourt Club to support the men's basketball program and at the same time receive this great benefit.

Cost is $10 per person, payable in CASH at the door.
Join head coach Nathan Davis, his staff, and select members of the Bison squad for a preview of the upcoming season at the annual Backcourt Club Tip-off Reception. Please note the event is being held at a new time this year! The entry fee includes an all-you-can-eat appetizer buffet and drinks (tap beer, soda, water). Every guest will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win Bison Basketball gear or the grand prize, a pair of season tickets. Guests are encouraged to arrive early as tables fill quickly.Â
Friday, Nov. 1, 6 p.m. -- Center Stage at Bison Madness -- **STUDENTS ONLY**
Attention all Bucknell students, join us at Sojka Pavilion on Nov. 1 for Center Stage at Bison Madness. Doors open at 5:45 p.m., and at 6 p.m. we will introduce the Bison men's and women's basketball teams, have on-court contests, and play Bison HQ Trivia for a chance to win $1,000. And then at 7 p.m., stick around for a performance from comedian Eric Andre. Free food and drinks are available for all students, so come spend a fun evening at Sojka! Â
Saturday, Nov. 2, 9 a.m.-- Breakfast with the Bison Women's Basketball Team
Come meet new head coach Trevor Woodruff and enjoy some breakfast refreshments with the defending Patriot League champion Bison women's basketball team on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 9 a.m. Fans are welcome to stick around and watch an open practice, starting at 10 a.m.Â

Once again this season the men's basketball team will host four luncheons at Matty's Sporthouse Grill in Lewisburg. The $11 admission includes lunch and the chance to ask questions to head coach Nathan Davis and Bison student-athletes. This year's luncheon dates are:
