About the Bison
- After taking last week off, the Bucknell women's golf team will appear in Towson's home tournament on Monday and Tuesday.
- Last time out, the Bison posted a stellar second-place finish in an 11-team field at the Hartford Invitational. Bucknell finished behind only Fairleigh Dickinson, and the Bison will have to contend with the Knights again this week.
- Bucknell shot 302-303 at Hartford. The 605 total was the second-best 36-hole score in team history. The school 36-hole record is 602, set in a win at the Wendy's Invitational at Coosaw Creek CC in October 2010.
- Four Bison finished in the top 16 in a field of 68 players at Hartford. Meredith Langs, who was the medalist at Hartford's spring tournament, finished T-4th with rounds of 73-76. Her 149 total was seven shots behind the winner, Caterina Tatti of FDU. Sahana Paravantavida (T-8th), Casey Morrow (T-10th) and Erin Holmes (T-16th) were other top finishers. All three had a 74 among their two rounds.
- Morrow's 75.6 scoring average is the best on the team, followed by Paravantavida (76.8), Langs (77.5) and Sally Sohn (79.8).
- This week the Bison will send out Morrow, Paravantavida, Langs, Holmes and Sohn. Morgan Hennessy, Tatum McKelvey and Sun Woo Jeon will play as individuals.
- This will be Bucknell's first appearance in a tournament hosted by Towson.
- Towson appeared in Bucknell's home event earlier this fall and placed third behind Navy and Youngstown State.
- The Bison have one more event on the fall schedule. They will compete at Wagner's Vanessa Picciotto Perrine Memorial Intercollegiate at Richmond CC on Oct. 28-29.
