LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell men's tennis head coach Bruce Myers has announced the addition of transfer Marwan Abaza to the Bison roster beginning with the upcoming spring season. Abaza joins the team after spending one school year at Florida Atlantic University.
While at Florida Atlantic, Abaza earned a spot on the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and was a Dean's List student during the spring semester.
Abaza was ranked No. 22 in Florida and No. 153 in the nation while training at the Rick Macci Tennis Academy prior to college.
ABAZA Q&A
Why did you choose Bucknell?
I chose Bucknell because of the high quality of education as well as the low faculty-to-student ratio. I was also very impressed with the campus and team environment.
What are your interests outside of tennis?
I love to read and spend time with friends.
What are your goals for the upcoming season?
I hope to be an impact player on the team and hopefully assist when it really matters in our conference tournament.
What are your career goals and aspirations?
I am working towards working on Wall Street after graduation. Until then my current goals are to reach an ITA ranking.
