Walker Named Bison Athlete of the Week Following Wins Over Loyola (Md.) and Holy Cross

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior Kate Walker has been named the Bison Athlete of the Week after leading Bucknell women's basketball to league wins over Loyola (Md.) and Holy Cross last week. The Bison improved to 16-4 overall and 7-1 in the Patriot League with their sixth consecutive win.
Walker stuffed the stat sheet in both games, averaging 9.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists in the two wins. She tallied 12 assists while committing just one turnover.
In a 75-57 win at Loyola (Md.), Walker finished with nine points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. She followed that with 10 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in a 75-71 win over Holy Cross.
Walker is averaging 8.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.7 assists over the past three games.
Bucknell closes the first half of the league schedule with a game at Navy on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Mids are 8-10 overall and 3-5 in the Patriot League.
