Men's Track and Field Wraps Up Day Two at Penn State, Bison Open

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell men's track and field team ended on several high notes after day two of the Penn State National Invite and the Bison Open and Multi.

At Penn State, Sean Conway recorded the highest individual finish on the day, running a 1:20.66 in the 600 to finish sixth.

Also posting a top-ten finish at University Park was Owen Chase in the 1000 (2:31.42). Teammate Nick Pacelli also picked up a top-ten finish in the 1000, coming in close behind in ninth with a time of 2:33.35.

Owen Concaugh earned a top-ten finish in the 800 after running a 1:55.21, a new personal-best, while Brett Zatlin placed 12^th in the event with a 1:55.98, also a new personal-best by .01.

Steve Rizio finished 15^th in the 400 after running a 50.00, while Brian Dengler and Chad Sussman finished 14^th, and 16^th, respectively in the 3000.
Connor McMenamin and Drew Dorflinger also competed in the mile, placing 16^th and 22^nd, respectively.

C.J. Falcioni placed 19^th in the shot put after throwing 49-1 3/4.

At the Bison Open, Jeff Brown returned to his home track on Saturday to take home a win in the 60 (6.89).

Also earning a runner-up spot was Carson Etnyre (500, 1:06.33).

In the 400, both Matthew Barton (fifth, 51.29) and Brendan Bodisch (9^th, 51.88) earned top-ten finishes.

Michael Gertz picked up a third-place finish in the 800 after running a 2:00.01. Brendan McGill and Evan Minor also finished 3-4 in the mile with a 4:23.41 and a 4:23.49, respectively. Terryl Ferrell also finished seventh in the event after running a 4:26.60.

In the 3000, Matthew Vira placed ninth in the event after running a 9:06.20.

In the long jump Micah Sims (third, 21-7 ½), Reggie Harris (fourth, 21-6 ¾), and Bodisch (ninth, 20-7 ¼) each earned a top ten spot. Jaden Rouse also finished tenth in the triple jump after leaping 39-11 ¼.

Zach Ruiz finished fifth in the shot put, while Ninh Lam was seventh in the weight throw.

The team will return to action on Feb. 2 at the Scarlet and White Invitational.
