Bucknell at a Glance
• Bucknell is currently 3-6 (1-3 EIWA) after going 1-1 on the road against Harvard (35-3) and Brown (18-20) last Saturday. Jakob Campbell (125), David Campbell (133), Joey Gould (141), Zach Hartman (157) and Drew Phipps (197) all went 2-0, with Gould and Hartman each pinning one opponent and Phipps scoring his first technical fall of the campaign.
• Against the Crimson in their noon dual, the Bison won nine of 10 bouts, scoring bonus points in three of them. Later that night, the Bears erased a 15-3 deficit by winning four of the final five bouts to hand Bucknell a heartbreaking loss.
• So far this season, the Bison have used 17 starters in dual competition. Four wrestlers have started every dual thus far: Matthew Kolonia (141/149), Hartman (157), D.J. Hollingshead (165) and Phipps (197). Frankie Guida, Jr. (174) and Jacob Ferreira (184) made their 2018-19 dual debut at Harvard and Brown respectively.
• Hartman is the team leader in overall (16) and dual (7) victories; he is also tied with fellow freshman Ferreira for the team high with five pins.
• Phipps and J. Campbell remain tied for the team lead with three major decisions; Phipps and Geo Barzona (125) are the only Bison who have posted at least one fall, one technical fall and one major decision this season.
• In dual action, J. Campbell remains an unbeaten 6-0. Four of his six victories came by two or fewer points. His active four-bout winning streak is the second-longest on the team behind Hartman's current six-bout winning streak.Â
• Bucknell's captains are D. Campbell, Garrett Hoffman, Phipps, Nick Stephani and Brandon Stokes.
• In 2018-19, the Bison returned one NCAA qualifier and three EIWA placewinners. Hoffman (184) earned an at-large bid to the 2017 NCAA Championships, where he bowed out after two bouts. D. Campbell (133) and Phipps (184) each took eighth at the 2018 EIWA Championships while Gould (133) was eighth at the 2017 rendition. All but Campbell have since changed weight classes.
 • In 2017-18, Bucknell battled injuries and used 22 different starters in dual competition, ultimately finishing with a 3-14 (2-7 EIWA) ledger. The performance of 141-pounder Tyler Smith, one of six seniors lost to graduation, was a bright spot; he became the program's fifth four-time NCAA qualifier and seventh EIWA runner-up.
• The Bison enjoyed one of their most successful stretches in program history from 2014 to 2017, compiling a combined record of 39-14 (23-5 EIWA) and placing third at the 2016 and 2015 EIWA Championships.
• Head coach Dan Wirnsberger, who is in his 14th year at the helm, has a 116-121 record. He and Bob Ferraro, who led the Bison to a 169-175-6 record from 1974 to 1997, are the program's only head coaches to reach the 100-win plateau.

Bison Ranked
• Zach Hartman (157) will enter Saturday's duals ranked eighth by Intermat and The Open Mat and ninth by FloWrestling. He was ranked eighth by Intermat and The Open Mat for the second-consecutive week; that national ranking is his highest to date.
• Hartman is the only freshman listed in the top 10 at 157 pounds in any of the three aforementioned polls.
• Hartman first cracked FloWrestling's rankings on Dec. 24. He came in at No. 20; it was the first time in his collegiate career he was ranked by any of the three major wrestling publications: Intermat, The Open Mat and FloWrestling.
• Following his third-place finish at the Ken Kraft Midlands Championships, Hartman entered the Intermat poll at No. 10 (Jan. 8) and The Open Mat rankings at No. 10 (Jan. 3).
• Hartman entered the NCAA Wrestling power rankings at No. 8 on Jan. 14. The NCAA only lists a top 10.

• The Pioneers finished last at the 2018 EIWA Championships. That season, they posted a 2-10 (0-5 EIWA) record in dual competition.
• Bucknell is an unbeaten 6-0 against Sacred Heart in their all-time series. The Bison's average margin of victory has been just over 29 points, bolstered by commanding shutouts in 2012 (51-0) and 2016 (39-0).
• In their most recent meeting on Feb. 4, 2017, Bucknell rolled to a 31-9 victory. Victor Lopez (157) won his 100th collegiate bout with a commanding 17-2 technical fall over Paul Curtain, which was one of five bonus-point victories for the Bison.
• Bucknell's 39-0 shutout of the Pioneers came on Feb. 7, 2016. It was the Bison's first shutout since their first match of the 2013-14 campaign and their most recent one to date.
Hofstra at a Glance
• The Pride is currently 4-7 (0-2 EIWA). Hofstra is riding a three-dual winning streak with victories over Citadel (26-11), Davidson (33-8) and Gardner-Webb (32-13).
• The Pride will host Rider at noon on Saturday before taking on the Bison at 7 p.m.
• Hofstra placed 13th at the 2018 EIWA Championships, which it hosted at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. That season, the Pride went 10-10 (4-4 EIWA) in dual competition.
• Bucknell leads the all-time series with Hofstra, 14-9. The Bison and Pride have only met twice in the 2000s, with their most recent dual coming at the Grapple at the Garden in New York City during the 2014-15 campaign.
• At the time of that Dec. 21, 2014 meeting, Hofstra was in only its second season in the EIWA. By winning four of the final five bouts, the Bison overcame a 12-9 deficit to score a 25-15 victory and complete a 3-0 weekend at the Grapple at the Garden.
