Men's Water Polo Moves to 4-0 with 9-6 Win over No. 19 St. Francis

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The No. 20 Bucknell men's water polo team moved to 4-0 on the young season with a 9-6 victory over No. 19 St. Francis Brooklyn on Sunday morning at the Bruno Classic.
Rade Joksimovic, who on Saturday registered 25 points (18g-7a), continued his strong play. He led the Bison with six points on equal totals of goals and assists while Cooper Dolan (2g), Jack Lewis (2g) and Matt Blackwell (2a) also enjoyed multi-point outings.
The teams entered halftime locked in a 2-2 tie, but Bucknell broke open the game thanks to a 5-2 third quarter. During that decisive frame, Dolan and Joksimovic netted two goals apiece while Jared Stanley opened the scoring with a power-play tally at the 6:44 mark.
Jack Otto finished his fourth collegiate start with 11 saves, one shy of the high he set during the Bison's 18-7 victory over Austin College. Cullen Jacuzzi paced Bucknell with three steals while Logan Schofield drew a team-best four ejections.
Through his first four games, Joksimovic is averaging a staggering 7.75 points and 5.25 goals per contest. The junior All-American now has 281 career goals, leaving him well on pace to become the fourth Bison to reach the 300-goal threshold.
Bucknell wraps up its time at the Bruno Classic this afternoon with a 2 p.m. game against No. 8 Pepperdine.
