Bison Notes
- Bucknell will be well-rested entering this weekend's tournament after having last played Navy and Johns Hopkins on Sunday, Nov. 4. Bucknell has had just under two weeks off to prepare for the MAWPC Championships, and it is the third time this season that the Bison have had an extended break in between contests. The Bison are 1-1 in games after having had a break of 10 days or longer.
- Bucknell had 13 days off at the beginning of the season between a loss to Pepperdine on Sep. 2 before hosting the Bucknell Invitational from Sep. 15-16. The Bison were 4-0 in that tournament, and outscored their opposition 78-35.
- Bucknell's other extended hiatus came 13 days after the Bucknell Invitational when it went 2-1 on a trip to D.C. and Maryland against George Washington, Navy, and Johns Hopkins. The loss to George Washington was the opening match after the break and was the Bison's only loss in conference play this season.
- The Bison went 2-0 in their most recent matches on Nov. 4, defeating Navy, 15-7, in the morning before topping Johns Hopkins, 14-7, that afternoon.
- The Bison's performance in the two games helped Bucknell earn two MAWPC Players of the Week for the second time this season. Joksimovic and Jack Lewis earned Offensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, on Oct. 9.
- Jack Otto and Rade Joksimovic earned Defensive and Offensive Player of the Week Awards, respectively after the two games against the Mids and the Blue Jays.
- Otto made a career-high 13 saves as he and the Bison helped hold the Mids and the Blue Jays to just seven goals in each game.
- Joksimovic scored six goals in each game to help the Bison finish the regular season undefeated at Kinney Natatorium for the second straight year. The Novi Sad, Serbia native also tallied five assists and seven steals.
- Joksimovic's 17 points helped him surpass the 500-point milestone for his career and become only the second Bison player to accomplish the feat.
- Logan Schofield drew nine ejections against the Mids, one short of his season-high on Sept. 1 against MIT.
- The two wins gave the Bison their second 20-win season in the past three seasons.
- Bucknell has given up eight goals or less in three straight games and in five out of their last six MAWPC contests.
- Bucknell has now gone 30-2 in conference matches over the past three seasons.
- The Bison have won each of their past four opening round matchups in the postseason.
- Joksimovic is now up to 187 points in 2018, the most he has ever accumulated throughout his career in one campaign. The single-season record for points in a season is 272 set by Scott Shulte in 1980. Shulte owns four of the top seven single-season marks in Bucknell history.
- Cooper Dolan is five goals away from 100 for his career.
- Joksimovic needs just 24 goals for 400 career tallies for the Orange and Blue.
- 13 points by Joksimovic would give him 200 points for the season.
- Joksimovic's 116 goals to date this season is seventh-most by a Bison player in a single season.
- Marko Djordjevic needs just four more points to reach 300 for his career.
- Bucknell has defeated the Explorers twice this season. Both meetings were at Kinney Natatorium.
- Bucknell defeated La Salle 23-9 on Sept. 15 before winning a 22-9 decision on Oct. 6.
- Scott Little netted a career-high six goals in the win on Sept. 15.
- The Bison had eight different goal scorers in the second meeting, with Joksimovic recording ten goals and three assists.
- Bence Fazekas recorded his second career goal against La Salle in the second matchup.
- Jack Lewis recorded a season-high six steals on Oct. 6.
- The Bison are 3-0 all-time against La Salle, a program in its second year of competition.
- The Explorers are 2-20 this season and have lost their past 12 contests.
- The Bison will play either at 1:30 or 4:30 p.m. on Saturday depending on the result of Friday's match.
- If the Bison manage to get past La Salle, they will play the winner of the Fordham-Navy match at 4:30 on Saturday.
