Bison Open Season at #16 in Women's Mid-Major Top 25

Bucknell Opens the Season Tuesday at Monmouth
WOMEN'S MID-MAJOR TOP 25
LEWISBURG, Pa. – The first CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25 Poll was released on Thursday, and Bucknell came in at No. 16. The preseason favorite in the Patriot League is joined in the poll by conference mate American at No. 24.
Quinnipiac, Bucknell's opponent for its home opener at Sojka Pavilion on Nov. 11, received 10 first-place votes and took the top spot in the poll. The Bobcats were followed by South Dakota State, which picked up nine first-place votes, and Central Michigan, which received six first-place votes.
Also getting first-place votes in the poll were Buffalo (2), Drake (1), Green Bay (1), FGCU (1), and Gonzaga (1).
Drexel, another Bucknell opponent this season, is ranked 15th in the poll. That game comes in the middle of the toughest stretch of the schedule, one game after Quinnipiac and one game before a road contest at Syracuse.
Bucknell opens the season at Monmouth on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The Bison return four starters, including three All-Patriot League players, from last season.
