No. 20 Men's Water Polo Goes 2-0 on Saturday

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The No. 20 ranked Bucknell University men's water polo team started off its home weekend at Kinney Natatorium 2-0 with a 22-9 win over La Salle and an 18-9 victory over Wagner to extend its home winning streak to 21 games.
Game One: No. 20 Bucknell 22, La Salle 9
Junior attacker Rade Joksimovic posted a season-best 10 goals and three assists to lead the way for the Bison (11-2, 5-1 MAWPC) over the Explorers (2-15, 0-9 MAWPC).
The Bison started out strong with Joksimovic scoring the first four goals for the Orange and Blue to give Bucknell a 1-0 lead just four minutes into the game.
The Bison lead increased to 8-3 after the first quarter when Joksimovic and Cooper Dolan scored just 20 seconds apart to end the half. Joksimovic's goal ended the half just as the horn sounded on a long assist from goal keeper Jack Otto. Otto, Joksimovic, and Jack Lewis all tied for the team lead in assists with three.
Bucknell kept a steady pressure on in the second period, outscoring the Explorers 6-1 over the next eight minutes. Joksimovic was active once again, scoring two goals to bring his total at the half to seven. Also netting in the second period were Marko Djordjevic, Logan Schofield, Lewis and Cullen Jacuzzi.
Bucknell held a 14-4 lead at the halftime break.
The Bison shut out the Explorers in the third period, with Joksimovic putting the game away with three goals in the final three minutes of the period.
Twelve Bison saw action in the contest, Djordjevic, Lewis, and Joksimovic each accumulated four points or more.
Joksimovic was one of eight different goal scorers to find the back of the cage for the Bison. Otto made 12 saves, tied for his season-high. Lewis's six steals ties for the most by a Bison player in a game this season.

A close game in the first period was broken open by a 5-1 Bucknell run in the second as the Bison cruised to an 18-9 victory against Wagner in the nightcap of two games on Saturday.
The Bison run in the second period was spurred by four different scorers: Dolan, Djordjevic, Lewis, and Jacuzzi. Djordjevic put the icing on the cake at the end of the half as his low shot skipped in with four seconds left to break open what was a 4-4 tie after one into a 9-5 advantage at the break.
The Bison left little doubt to start the third quarter, with four straight goals, two from Dolan and Djordjevic along with two goals from Joksimovic to stretch the
Bison's lead to 13-5.
Bucknell would cruise the remainder of the game to take the win, 18-9 and extend its home winning streak to 21 games.
Joksimovic's 15 goals over two games now places him third on the all-time goals list in Bucknell men's water polo history. Joksimovic's 21 points overall on the day also ties him for third on the all-time points list at Bucknell.
