Men's Tennis Sends Four Players to Princeton's Farnsworth Invitational this Weekend

Max McDonald, Andrei Vitiuc, Ryan Jurist, and Alex Pedrazzini Will Play at the Event

Setting the Scene
What: Farnsworth Invitational
When: Friday, Oct. 5 – Sunday, Oct. 7 | 9 a.m. each day
Where: Lenz Tennis Center (Princeton, N.J.)
Teams: Army West Point, Bucknell, Buffalo, Colgate, Delaware, Drexel, Gardner-Webb, Hofstra, Lehigh, Marist, Middlebury, NJIT, Temple, William & Mary
Tournament Format
The tournament will have schools' players entered in pairs of two for a "mini Davis Cup format." Each pair will form a team that will play doubles first, followed by two singles matches. The winner of 2-of-3 matches for each "tie" advances. The losing players also continue playing in a compass draw that will guarantee four singles and four doubles.
About the Bison
• Bucknell will send two teams (four players) to the event. The Bucknell 1 team will be seniors Max McDonald and Andrei Vitiuc, while the Bucknell 2 team will be freshmen Ryan Jurist and Alex Pedrazzini.
• McDonald and Vitiuc open against Delaware's Luis Molina and Luis Marcano. Molina is 2-2 in singles, Marcano is 1-1, and they haven't played doubles together.
• Jurist and Pedrazzini will play NJIT's Tomi Antoljak and George Svensson. Antoljak is 0-3 in singles, Svensson is 1-2, and they have not played doubles together.
• For Bucknell 1, McDonald is 2-1 on the season, while Vitiuc will make his season debut. They have not teamed in doubles this year but are 8-10 together during their careers.
• For Bucknell 2, Jurist is 2-1 on the season, while Pedrazzini is 0-2. They will team together in doubles for the first time.
• None of Bucknell's four participants this weekend played at the team's most recent event, the SJU Invitational.
• The Bison are 20-10 in singles this fall.
