Olson Named Bison Athlete of the Week

Olson Scored the Game-Winning Goal in Field Hockey's 3-1 Win at Holy Cross
LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior Sally Olson was named the Bison Athlete of the Week on Monday after helping Bucknell clinch a spot in the Patriot League Field Hockey Tournament with a 3-1 win over Holy Cross on Saturday.
Olson, the center back for the Bison, scored her first goal of the season to put Bucknell up 2-1 early in the second half. She also led the defensive effort that held Holy Cross to three shots on goal and two penalty corners.
With the win over Holy Cross, the Bison secured a spot in the Patriot League Tournament for an 11th consecutive season, starting with Jeremy Cook's first season as head coach.
Bucknell closes the regular season with three games this week, starting with a game at No. 6 Penn State on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
