Tardy Won the 4k Race, and Dyer Won the 6k Race
RESULTS
LEWISBURG, Pa. – Sophomore Tiara Tardy and freshman Olivia Dyer each won races as the Bucknell women's cross country team wrapped up the regular season by hosting the Bison Tuneup on Friday evening.
"This is the first time we have ever hosted a meet the week before leagues," Bucknell head coach Kevin Donner said. "It was a dry run to test out the course and to give our non-Patriot League lineup a chance to get some experience. I was very pleased with the races and I was very pleased with how the course held up. It was a beautiful day and the course was dry for a change. It ran faster than I thought it would."
Tardy won the 4k race with a time of 14:13. Bucknell took the top three spots in a field of 13 runners. Sophomore Kaitlin Ryan and freshman Karly Forker finished behind Tardy in second and third.
Dyer's title came in the 6k race, which she won with a time of 22:40. That was 26 seconds faster than the runner-up. Freshman Lucie Kubinski was third in a field of 16 runners.
The Bison will host the Patriot League Championships on Saturday, Oct. 27. It is the first time the championship meet will be held at Bucknell since 2004.
