Men's Cross Country Wraps Up Regular Season with Bison Tuneup

The Bison Will Host the Patriot League Championships on Saturday, Oct. 27

RESULTS

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Junior Scott Gulizio was the runner-up in the 6k race to lead the Bucknell men's cross country team at the Bison Tuneup on Friday evening. The men's side of the meet also included a 6k race.

"This is the first time we have ever hosted a meet the week before leagues," Bucknell head coach Kevin Donner said. "It was a dry run to test out the course and to give our non-Patriot League lineup a chance to get some experience. I was very pleased with the races and I was very pleased with how the course held up. It was a beautiful day and the course was dry for a change. It ran faster than I thought it would."

Gulizio finished second out of seven runners with a time of 19:29. The race was won by Kyle Kirk in 18:49.

The Bison took the third through sixth spots in the 8k race. Riley Gardner was third and was followed by Matt Cervon, Quenton Long, and Brian Babyak. The race was won by Mansfield's Ryan Clifford in 26:57.

The Bison will host the Patriot League Championships on Saturday, Oct. 27. It is the first time the championship meet will be held at Bucknell since 2004.
